Arts, culture, recreation and life-long learning are part of the fabric of everyday life in Germantown. Year-round programs and events are provided for residents to enjoy in a variety of ways. In an effort to maintain service excellence and provide exceptional services responsive to citizens’ needs, continuous improvement will be made to offer a wide range of unique recreational, leisure and cultural programs available to all residents.

Analysis:
The Department continues to use feedback of surveys to help determine programming decisions and measure overall customer service satisfaction. Twelve programs were surveyed this quarter and achieved a combined customer service satisfaction rate of 97%. These included the Bluebird Nature Festival, Senior Hikes, Snake I.D., Tree I.D., Shoot 360 Basketball Camp, Summer Success camp, 50+ programming, Senior Seminar, Senior Day Trips, REACH Before/Afterschool, programming from our Park Rangers, and other events/programming at The Farm Park. Our department will continue to grow in all areas and allow our service excellence goals to be the driving force in all that we do.

Analysis:
Participation in our third quarter programs reached a total of 7,735 people across a wide spectrum of offerings from special recreation and 50+ programs to REACH, sports, environmental education classes, activities at the Farm Park and special events. Highlights of the quarter included key events like the Eggstravaganza, After Dark Egg Hunt, Arbor Day and our regular programming that happens throughout the year.

Analysis:
In Q3-FY26, the City of Germantown's social media engagement for Quality of Life showed a significant increase with an actual value of 1,148,520, far exceeding the target of 350,000. This upward trend suggests effective engagement strategies. Compared to previous quarters, there is a consistent pattern of surpassing targets, indicating a strong social media presence. The substantial rise from Q2-FY26's 721,209 points to a potential successful campaign or event. (Ice Storm)

Over the long term, the City of Germantown's Quality of Life social media engagement has consistently exceeded targets since Q4-FY23. The actual values have shown a steady increase, with notable spikes in Q1-FY24, Q2-FY25, Q1-FY26, and Q3-FY26. These consistent successes suggest ongoing improvements in social media strategy and effective audience engagement. This trend highlights the city's growing online influence and potential improvements in community outreach efforts over time.
