Description
Percent of respondents indicating somewhat satisfied/very satisfied with the Germantown Municipal School District's overall job of providing high quality operations based on results obtained from the City's annual community survey.
Analysis
The 2023 community survey shows that 78% of surveyors were very satisfied or satisfied with the Germantown Municipal School District (GMSD) operations. GMSD has maintained a consistent satisfaction score over the past three community surveys. Compared to the 2018 survey, the score increased by 6 percentiles. The school district is continuing to strive to meet the needs of their student body and stakeholders. In response to meeting student needs, GMSD opened the doors to Forrest Hill Elementary in 2019 to better accommodate the overflow of students and to help meet students needs in a better environment. In addition, the City and GMSD are working together to ensure capital needs are met for each school. The City and GMSD are working to continue to find ways to accommodate students needs to help make the school district become the number one school district in the state of Tennessee. This question is asked through the Citizen Survey from a random selection of residents which may consist of residents who do not have a child enrolled at GMSD.
*The City did not administer a Community Survey in FY19, FY20, FY21, or FY22. The FY24 Community Survey will be completed this Fall.
