Fire prevention activities, featuring an aggressive public fire education program, reduce the risk of fires, injuries and deaths. Citizens are educated and take precautions to protect their families and property. Aggressive firefighter training assures professional, qualified employees. Adequate firefighter staffing, training, equipment, apparatus and strategic station locations help to control fire loss.

This is important as fire loss hurts our businesses as well as City revenue stream.

Germantown Fire has a rigorous commercial inspection program and inspects all businesses within the city limits at least once per calendar year. The fire marshal’s office inspects the high-risk occupancies and assemblies such as churches and restaurants.
